Open Educational Resources Online
Open Educational Resources (OER), are high-quality, peer reviewed works, which students access for free online. This workshop will discuss open educational resources, including open textbooks, as an excellent alternative to increasingly costly commercial resources.
Workshop objectives include:
- Define open educational resources (OER) and the benefits of using them
- Identify common repositories for finding OER and locate collections of OER relevant to academic discipline
- Distinguish among the different OER permissions for adoption, attribution, and reuse
