Presentation Title: Citation Software SmackDown (Zotero vs Mendeley)

Description: Do you struggle to create a reference list for your research papers? Does the thought of keeping track of and formatting all your reference sources for your thesis/dissertation keep you up at night? Stop doing it all by yourself. This workshop will introduce you to citation management software, how it works, and will provide a comparison of Zotero and Mendeley, two free software platforms. Learn their advantages and basic tips for using.

Presenter: Edward Eckel, Engineering and Applied Sciences Librarian

Bio: Ed has been the engineering librarian at WMU since 2006. Previously he worked at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, and at Delaware County Community College in Media PA. He has an MLIS from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He has been teaching these workshops for 5 years. He is fascinated by how researchers keep track of sources, and synthesize those sources to create new knowledge.
