School and Community Data for Everyone Online
*Library Skills Week Event*
Attendees will learn how to access and search various governmental databases and data sets available for any researcher in a live presentation using WebEx with Brad Dennis, WMU Social Science Librarian. Learn how to search the US Census Bureau for community demographics, National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)for school demographics and the State of Michigan Center for Education and Performance Information (CEPI) for standardized testing information and other state data. Also, a great class for anyone preparing for an interview or comparing communities before moving to a new location.
