Whether you want to prepare for working in a lab, learn techniques to take control of your research, or just want to improve your data organization, this workshop will give you the building blocks to confidently manage your files. Topics covered will include naming conventions, documentation, and storage. Daria Orlowska is the campus data librarian dedicated to supporting all of your data needs. As a former research assistant, she bases her workshops on first-hand experience with the frustration of managing data.
Outcomes: Construct a workflow to identify data needs; Identify different parts of data management; Consider what organizational strategies you can employ to address your data needs; Gain awareness of campus resources
