Small Stewart Archive Exhibit In-person
The David Small and Sarah Stewart Archive includes a wide variety of visual and textual materials, including artwork from first drafts to final camera-ready drawings, letters, diaries, sketches and garden journals. Stop by Waldo Library during open hours and check out the display cases on the 2nd floor in the rotunda to get the first glimpse of this collection. Each case focuses on a different aspect of the collection.
The exhibit will remain open through Dec. 15, 2021.
WMU staff are currently preparing the archive for use by researchers and fans of David and Sarah’s work and plan to make it available later this year.
Community events and exhibits series
This event is part of the It's a David Small World: A Journey Through Life and Art series. The University Libraries will debut its recently acquired archive from award-winning, local authors David Small and Sarah Stewart through a series of events and exhibits around the Kalamazoo community this fall.
